Oxford Blackbirds B - Home

Oxford City Colts entertained Oxford Blackbirds 'B' at Court Farm this weekend,on a pitch where the grass was far too long which resulted in Colts normal passing football being seriously affected.Colts were quick out of the blocks as in only the 2nd minute Liam Palfreeman scored to put us 1 up,after this early set back Blackbirds got into the game and held Colts until the 17th minute when Liam Powell burst through the centre to place a well struck shot into the bottom left hand corner of the goal.In the 23rd minute a superb run and cross from Charles Faloye down the right hand side was met with a great header from Liam Powell to score his 2nd of the game and Colts 3rd,Blackbirds managed to pull a goal back just before half-time to make the score at the interval Oxford City Colts 3,Oxford Blackbirds 'B' 1.

Further goals in the 2nd half from Liam Palfreeman,Jacob Bennett,Jack Spencer and Tony O'Donnell made the final score Oxford City Colts 7,Oxford Blackbirds 'B' 1

Well done to all the boys for a great team performance for the second game running especially as we had to shuffle the team around many times due to injury and unavailability but every boy fitted in well thus the strength of the team was not affected.
