Quary - "Home"

This weekend was a very frustrating one for Oxford City Colts, with the pitches at Court Farm under a considerable amount of water at first the game against Quarry Rovers was cancelled, then Quarry Rovers took advantage of the new league rule which states games that are cancelled must be switched to opponents ground if possible, although very hectic the game managed to kick-off at 10.30,having already played the away fixture at Quarry this means we have now lost a home fixture and with that played one of the strongest teams in the league away twice this season.

The game itself was very poor from a colts point of view,as the boys failed to compete, were very sloppy with their passes and were to often caught in possesion as they failed to move the ball quick enough the result of this being a heavy 5-0 defeat.

The boys have been exceptional over the past 4-5 weeks so one hiccup is not a problem,we will put this game behind us,learn as we always do and make a big improvement this weekend. One final point is that without goalkeeper MICHAEL MORONEY the score would have been much heavier as he made a number of outstanding saves.

FINAL SCORE-OXFORD CITY COLTS 0,QUARRY ROVERS 5
